Summary

Renovaré, an international ministry and non-profit, hired Mowalla to produce their International Conference in San Antonio, Texas. The Mowalla Team worked with the Renovaré staff and local San Antonio team to build a program that not only emphasized their theme for the week, but kept with the ethos and spirit of the 25-year-old ministry. Their desire was to incorporate production elements for the first time and enhance their message without taking away from the focus of their organization.

Load In

Mowalla served as the management team and primary contact to the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium. Our team hired and organized the production vendors for stage, sound, lights and video and coordinated everything from translation equipment to security and ushers. Working with Renovaré’s Producer, George Skramsted, and the local planning team, Mowalla programmed all eight plenary sessions in the auditorium and advanced the musical and speaking talent.

Line Up

The Mowalla Team was proud to work with some of the best known speakers and authors in the Christian world including Eugene Peterson, Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, Chris Webb, John Ortberg and Max Lucado. Local choirs and worship teams from two of San Antonio’s largest churches – Oak Hills Church and Alamo Heights Church – also partnered with Mowalla to create an impactful and dimensional program.

Run of Show

Working as an extension of the Renovaré team, Mowalla coordinated all of the programming and production elements. Whether writing lighting cues or ensuring a sound check went smoothly, a good time was had by all. The camaraderie was evident from front of house to backstage as Mowalla managed the calling of each plenary session, coordinated speakers and musicians, and went through each set change.

Last Call

The event was a great success for the organization and all went well. From load-in to load-out, the experience was a good one for everyone. Both attendees and speakers took the time to share their positive remarks with us, something we find very rewarding.

Encore

Mowalla’s relationship with Renovaré began with the production of a small local conference in Houston, Texas. Based on this experience, Mowalla was asked to step in and help with their International Conference the following summer. Both firms look forward to future endeavors together.
