Summary

After completing a multi-million dollar renovation, the Clevelander Hotel, located in the heart of the Art Deco district of South Beach, enlisted Mowalla to assist in the production of their Grand Re-Opening Weekend Celebration. The four day extravaganza featured events including a private VIP Party complete with red carpet entrance and media wall, ribbon cutting ceremony and live performances by national artists and DJs playing on a custom built stage in the poolside patio.

Run of Show

Tasked by the Clevelander to blow out the concert portion of the festivities yet restricted by infrastructure, we had to get creative.  In order to expand on the existing stage and allow for bigger acts, we designed and temporarily installed a custom stage and truss roof system.  This however, presented us with another challenge, the Clevelander's iconic pool.  To avoid damage yet prevent loss of occupancy, the pool was covered with reinforced flooring.  This allowed thousands more to pass through the Grand Re-Opening.  By preserving the look of the Hotel, yet expanding on celebration Mowalla was able to please both client and consumer.
