Mowallapalooza!
This weekend, The Lollapalooza Festival descends on Chicago’s Grant Park. In honor of one of the best music festivals in the country (in arguably one of the most beautiful US city parks), Mowalla presents the five 2010 Lollapalooza bands that have also played Mowalla shows:
The Black Keys- Never in my life have I heard so much beautiful noise come out of two modest dudes on stage with a couple peddles. And, they are seriously nice dudes.
Matt & Kim - They might be the sweetest musicians on the planet. Hours before our show, MGMT’s drummer broke his foot and couldn’t play. Driving themselves from Brooklyn to Albany, NY Matt & Kim came to our rescue and played one of the best sets of our tour. Superheroes, they are!
Against Me! - These dudes unleashed their brand of anger punk for Mowalla in Atlanta, GA. Lead singer, Tom Gabel, sent our intern into a frenzy with his sweet guitar licks.
Cypress Hill - Insane in the membrane? No, these guys just know how to fire up a corporate music show…and some trees (real talk).
Blues Traveler - One of the first bands to ever grace a Mowalla stage. Blues Traveler played the boss man’s frat party back in the day.
For those of you who are attending the festival: be safe, drink tons of water, and in the illustrious words of Rufus from Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, “Be excellent to one another, and party on dudes.”

Love,
Mowalla Chicago
