GOT TICKETS? WE’VE GOT ‘EM!
Mowalla Co-founder, Chapin Mower, has a plethora of stories. He never ceases to amaze this company blogger with the places he’s been and the people he’s seen. When I asked him the other day – what was the first concert you bought a ticket for and went to, he immediately responded “The Who.” Then he went on to tell me about the second concert he bought a ticket for and went to – which happened to be Billy Squire with Rat as the opening act. He’s got a memory like a steel trap.
The evolution of ticketing has been amazing. Back in the day (when Chapin was going to The Who concerts) you’d have to wait in line for a ticket. That evolved into ticketing by phone (and getting a constant busy signal), which eventually evolved into ticketing online and these days, receiving tickets via text.
TicketsNow and Ticketmaster (sanctioned by the NFL) turned to Mowalla last year to create what is known as a “Last Minute Ticketing Destination” for the 2009 Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida. Instead of trying to figure out how to stop the re-selling of tickets that seemed to be happening around large events, TicketMaster wisely decided to join in the game and provide the space and technology to make it easier for people to re-sell their tickets. Mowalla transformed an empty retail location in a high-traffic pedestrian mall into a comfortable and bright space that represented America’s favorite pastime. This gave TicketsNow the ability to interact with their consumer one-on-one. Since the company is primarily on-line, the ticket destination became a valuable opportunity for TicketsNow to interact with consumers and provide a great experience for the ticket buyer. Customers were able to enjoy the comfort of a high-end sports lounge and purchase last minute Super Bowl tickets, as well as tickets for surrounding events. Additionally, the space provided TicketsNow and Ticketmaster with presence in a high traffic area next to many high-profile and highly-attended events in the Tampa Super Bowl marketplace. And, ultimately, the space lent itself to a great branding opportunity for TicketsNow and Ticketmaster.
Mowalla has taken this relationship one step further! Working with TicketsNow and Ticketmaster, we’re using our own network of clients and relationships to promote ticket sales. As an affiliate, we are now able to send our own friends, clients and associates to a page that offers great ticket prices on just about every event or show around the country. If you are looking for tickets for any event, click here and you will find the best tickets, best prices and best seats around! This is just another instance where we’ve partnered with a client to promote their brand in a creative and innovative way. That’s the kind of MOJO we like to have!
We will continue to work with TicketsNow and TicketMaster on last minute pop-up ticket locations, as well as in the promoting of ticket sales via our own affiliate page… which leads me to…
What can we creatively DO FOR YOU AND WITH YOU? Give us a call or email us – we’d love to talk about the myriad of ways we can help you take your organization, brand or message to the next level… and then we’d love to dream up ways to partner with you on the journey.
