July 2010

Howdy, Neighbors.

The passing of the Summer Equinox means only one thing to us Chicagoans: get out and enjoy as much warm weather and as you can. With this in mind, we decided to celebrate with an al fresco happy hour in the hood. Mowalla was joined by our next door neighbors, Green Home Chicago Design Center. Together, we sampled some of the best craft brews and artisan cheese in the world at The Publican, a Fulton Market hotspot.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Luminarium?

Hello and happy Friday,

Horsepower

Greetings from the left coast. It’s been a minute since Mowalla’s other half has chimed in from San Diego, but we are back in action fresh off our week long experience with the Budweiser Clydesdales at the MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim, CA (no, we did not man the shovels while we were there).

Cool Music for a Good Cause

It seems that the amazing Chicago weather has had an effect on Mowalla’s good nature this summer. We are working on projects outside our usual realm- dipping our toes in the philanthropy pool, if you will. Beyond our continued partnership with RedMoon.org for their upcoming Festival J.O.E. this Labor Day, we’ve been playing doctor assisting Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital with their event, Cool Music on a Hot Summer Night, happening next Saturday, July 17, 2010.

Comfort Zones and Creative Zones

Today I want to talk about comfort zones…and how good it is to step out of them. I apologize for missing blog Friday last week and will do my best to make it up with this post. You see, we were doing some extensive traveling last week. With so much to take in and many places to visit, I couldn’t find time to organize my thoughts. Finally, on this Monday, I can recap our travels with you and share some photos from out adventure.
